They're clothes were cheap and simple, they never used expensive jewelry, sometimes they painted flowers in they're faces and let they're hair long, without cut, they dressed in a way to express the revolution, the women started to use pants and short dresses. Both men and women wore frayed bell-bottomed jeans, tie-dyed shirts, work shirts, and headbands. Wearing sandals was also part of the hippie look for both men and women. Women would often go barefoot, and some went breless.
